Location testing
I tried filming the AR experience around 12am, but it was too dark for Aero to track precisely. The assets kept sliding around because the surface was barely visible in the camera. The overall result good at all.
Turns out Aero uses real-life environment lighting for asset rendering, this makes my assets really dim in color when previewing. |
I turned on my phone flashlight which was significantly better. |
But as soon as I look away from the floor, Aero starts losing the tracking again. |
1. Instead of walking inside the dog park, I can fix the experience area around the entrance, there are some street lights near it, which provide just enough lighting for the Aero to track properly.
2. Calibrate the Canis Major location in Aero to fit the 5-6pm period, it would be around sunset which hopefully provides better lighting conditions for the AR experience to look better.
